The Seattle Model Aircraft Company, known as SMAC produced an all die cast metal model in the popular 1/400 scale. This brand was started as a Model Club with the introduction of three individual Boeing B737-200’s. The models were exclusively produced by the folks at Gemini Jets and then later by sharing the same B737-200 mold used by Aero Classics. SMAC evolved into a major brand at the time. SMAC was introduced around 2000 and it evolved with the same quality standards and production techniques applied by the manufacturers of Aero Classics.
Today’s SMAC Models are no longer produced and their availability at the retail level is extremely rare and very limited to only a few. In their glory days most enthusiasts and collectors alike considered the SMAC Models one of the top five models produced for their quality and degree of accuracy, making them highly collectible.
