In May 2009 Hobby Masters Limited, a leading manufacturer of die cast warplane collectible models announced the introduction of a new line of die cast metal models of Classical Airliners. The latest entry into 1/200 scale market. The Hobby Master targeted the prop-liner era of early aviation. They introduced the Lockheed L-188 Electra, followed by the Douglas DC-4’s, Vickers Viscount and Boeing 377 “Stratocruisers” all of which have been designed to meet or exceed the high standards set forth by all commercial aviation enthusiasts.
The Hobby Master airliners are produced in large quantities targeting a more reasonably priced market. Each model is well represented and packaged. The collector is able to display the model either with gears down or up. A plastic stand is included with the model. These models also have incorporated the latest innovations to come from China including the “rolling tires”.
